Man begins to age already at the age of 25 and then the whole body gradually breaks down with age-related ailments and diseases. Our pets are killed at the vet to avoid suffering, but humans are supposed to be slowly tormented to death. The society should stop forcing us to live! For you who only want to die, listen to ABBA:s song Dont Shut Me Down before you die. When I listen to ABBA:s music like The Dancing Queen, I feel happier than ever before. The music genius ABBA made me live again, at least for the moment.

At this point, I cannot even enjoy music. It is cruel how the society expects us to suffer for decades, none of us asked to be alive in the first place anyway. Life is terrifying as there is no limit as to how bad things can get. Death is freedom, only then will we be at peace.

You are right, the society should not force us to live, all people should have the right to euthanasia like our pets. But yet we are here.

I completely agree with this, however, it will never happen. Not until we evolve past pleasing our own self interests at any cost.

i wish euthanasia was a human right to anyone and everyone who wanted it, there would be a mass exodus trigger because those that loss a love one will want to be euthanasia too instead of having to live with the pain, euthanasia has a human right will never happen.

Yes, can you imagine how many people would CT be if it were as easy as popping a pill? I personally don't see anything wrong with this… I would say easily 10 to 20% of the world population would disappear over six months. I'd be pushing people out of the way to get to the front of the line that's for sure.

That will never happen because humans need others as laughing stock, or to torment or to keep as many slaves as possible for the economy.

I respectfully disagree. I think that we are living in a time of increasingly expanded rights. And things are certainly heading that way in terms of euthanasia at least in the United States. I think it will become easier and easier to end your life. But I think it's always going to require physician assisted which is a massive pain in the ass. They're never going to make it particularly easy. It's not like there's a huge lobby for easy access to CTB.

Only in few countries there started to be more opening towards the idea of euthanasia, those countries in general are pretty progressive. Now what do you tell to someone who's from an overly conservative and religious country in Eastern Europe and has no possibility to move out?

Just as you said, even if there's more opening now towards the idea, when implemented, you'd still have to meet tons of criteria.

Somehow we've conflated 2 topics here. Yes, ABBA's songwriters were definitely very talented. Sweden has a history of exporting great music to the world, presumably because they don't force their artists to scrub toilets all day.

Anyway, I was just looking up the UN Human Rights Declaration, as I honestly feel that a humane end of life should be included. Society just needs to evolve. For example:

Article 3
Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person.

Does that mean being forced to live indefinitely, in violation of one's liberty of self-determination?

Article 4
No one shall be held in slavery or servitude; slavery and the slave trade shall be prohibited in all their forms.

The term 'slavery' strictly means 'persons as saleable property'. But 'servitude' is a condition describing about 95% of the population.

Article 5
No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.

And what if being forcibly subjected to continued existence, where chronic pain, unworkable circumstances or severe physical or mental ailments amounts to cruelty?

That would be incredibly frustrating…

Their best by far. I admit I only heard the song last month for the first time.

I certainly don't like the socialist easygoing 70's pop-tart feel they give off, but this song is somehow different, or at least different sounding.
