This guy allegedly spent a week, 100% attached to his headgear and... those little hand grenade shaped things that let you move stuff around.
I watched the video during my morning walk today. Cackled like a witch during one specific moment.
But it put me in interesting thought - if I could immerse myself into my own little world, train with a low res Stalone and Yoda, beating meat for points...
I feel it could do some real good for us gamers.
I'm training with Yousician, for an example. I will NOT be satisfied until I've reached that "PERFECT SCORE!" thing on a song. I'll need it once to satisfy my craving.
Now imagine some fancy shmancy gloves and boots and whatnot doing the same thing. You could, hypothetically, make gloves instead of hand grenades, which are essentially smaller hand grenades that represent not just your hands but your fingers. You can hypothetically add in a vest that produces pain. Physical pain is a very important thing - that's why we have a ton of cocky bastards rushing into semi autos in CS:GO and killing you with a lucky shot. As long as they got that 1hp, they're good for fighting, and the recoil they experience is just virtual.
I kind of want to replicate that experience on myself now. I hypothetically have the tools, albeit on ebay. Need to pay actual money to acquire, but not impossible.
Would you do this to yourself? What would you think the experience would be on yourself?
