I finally got money to buy SN. however, I am afraid that SN is not truly 99% (as it claims to be). If the SN is not pure enough, what exactly happens? I didn't see anyone talking about it.

Not entirely sure, but just don't use it. We are talking death here, never step away from the protocol.

Potential survival is bad enough, let alone whatever possible longterm side effects you'd get from ingesting a near-lethal dose of poison.

I suppose if its not pure enough you are more likely to live, which means youll endure the aftermath of ingesting poison. you should do a blood test in order to ensure its purity. There is stuff about it here and in the PPH.

Well you should test it if you're totally unsure of your source. It's annoying to do this, mostly because amateur testing sort of sucks and is more qualitative than quantitative.

Testing stuff is unfortunately just another burden. All methods require some kind of preparation, more or less. You wouldn't need to test your high quality charcoal to know it will produce CO(you'd need to test other variables but you can safely assume your charcoal is good without worrying). With a substance you're unsure of, that unfortunately requires testing or else you risk things going wrong.

As long as you have a decent purity , I don't think it will make a major difference. SN to me seems very lethal as long as you don't throw up. My intuition as someone with no expertise, is that almost anyone who takes 25g of it who thinks it was 99% pure, will still not survive that dose if it turns out to be 75% pure. I wish we could get some professional confirmation on what the downside of larger doses are. If there's no real downside to downing 70g of SN, then why not, right? But something like the PPH will probably never get that specific or speculate on that, since their whole deal is just very precise dosing advice. They won't ever say, "If you have no clue how pure your SN is, just double the dose" because the very idea of taking impure SN is ridiculous to their agenda. It's only something you'd tell some random suicidal person on the internet, and not someone who is 80, terminally ill, and is deeply serious about a dignified death.

I thought blood test was only qualitative?

it is, but if your blood turns brown enough it shows the SN is pure enough.

here is an explanation found from this site thats better:

"The blood test shows that you actually have Sodium Nitrite of a high enough purity to cause methemoglobinemia. If your drop of blood turns brown, then the nitrite is bonding with the hemoglobin in your blood, and knocking the oxygen molecules off the red blood cells."
