Once you remove the tin seal at the top of the glass bottle (the metal part), does that mean the N will go bad within a month? Someone once told me that but I wasn't sure. Or does it start to go bad once you take out the rubber stopper? Doesn't seem to say in the PPH.

i would say once you take out the rubber stopper .. the tin seal wouldn't matter as much, i guess its when the N is exposed to the air
but even if it has been, sealing it again and refridgerating it could help maybe

most liquid meds (like morphine ) and things, have a shelf life of three months once opened... I know N and M are totally different but i thought that was worth mentioning. . A month seems a little short but 3 maximum definitely

It's a bit unknown actually. I've researched the subject considerably and can't seem to get a firm definitive answer. "A" told me it would be still valid until expiration date ( as opposed to many years after expiration date, if left unopened ). Several sources seemed to indicate that the only real change is that it won't be sterile anymore ( which doesn't make a difference for us ) . It would only start to really deteriorate after being exposed to air and bacterias for a long period..
