You know what, that's stupid, yes, but as some philosopher (but mostly my father) said: the best way to beat your opponent is to outlive them.
He may know I want to ctb... I'm not 100% sure, and I can't directly ask him, can I?

Now, I'm no opponent of this avocado guy. I prefer to stay the fuck away from him. I find this "mukbang" thing disgusting.
BUT
If he outlives me, then he wins in a race he never knew he participates in in the first place.
He wins in the rat race for sure - that mukbang thing sure is profitable if he has a million of subscribers, but he's ultimately not winning in this race called life.
He's crawling or possibly rolling like a barrel, but he ain't running, that's for sure. Even in poverty, I must win just to say I outlived avocado guy.
And you know what? That's a good, imo, reason to keep running, just to say I outlived the avocado guy.

Rich or poor, we all die the same.
He can have all the money he wants, but like myself, eventually, he dies. Like I do when I eventually ctb.
That's a good reason to stave your plans to ctb, though, wouldn't you say?

Not really....
I'd say it depends on why you want to ctb.... and whilst I'm not planning to ctb soon I certainly wont choose to live to spite someone I've never met or to win a pointless race.

No, it's not a good reason if you're genuinely suffering...

And there's no reason to envy that guy, I think he claims to be mentally ill.

That's also true.
As I said, I'm not a DIRECT opponent to the avocado guy, but this gives me a 0.1% extra percentage to continue living if only to spite him.

Whatever helps you I guess
But it's one of the most nonsensical pro life arguments I've seen. The only one I really agree with is (unless you are terminally ill or have a condition where you are going to lose all motion and control of your body) you can always choose to ctb later if you choose to live now, you cant choose to live later if you successfully ctb now so be 100% certain you want to die. (Says the person who attempted twice impulsively)

Also true. If you're genuinely suffering, we're talking some disease or some condition you're born with, or... I don't know what else, then yes, there is no reason to compare yourself to that guy.
Also, he's a character, apparently.

Wow, he's actually an articulate evil genius. :sunglasses: Too bad it won't be hard for many of us to outlive him if he doesn't decide to shock his sophisticated audience by drastically curbing his consumption of empty calories.

Do people call for this guy to be removed from Youtube the way they do with Eugenia Cooney (the anorexic woman)?
I'm not one to jump on that type of bandwagon, but anyone who wants her to be removed but not the Niko guy is a hypocrite.
If anything he's far more explicitly romanticizing and promoting behavior that is unbelievably damaging to people's mental and physical health.

Great that it works for you but I don't really care about outliving some random guy who got famous for eating in excess. I do that all the time though probably not on his level.

When it comes to outliving my greatest enemy, that would be myself. How the hell am I supposed to outlive myself? If I can't outlive him I'd rather kill him to be honest.

I think that just ignoring this type of e-celeb scum will do more for you in the way of being less suicidal than keeping up with them to make sure that you outlive them or whatever.

Is this a paradox?

I keep ending up in work situations with someone who sexually assaulted. I think about quitting every day, but it's a contract job that ends in April. I didn't want to quit because it meant he would have beat me. But I am also constantly triggered. Regardless, I can't rant about it to anyone else so I just stick to the idea of CTB.

If it works, it works, I guess, but I don't like the idea of living because of spite, and it's too 'empty' of a reason to last long for me.

the only problem with this is that it would probably get very boring very quickly, living to outlast another person. if it actually helps you then that's good but most people probably wouldn't care after an hour or so of living just to stick around longer than a person you dislike or look down on, etc.

carrying on should come from a more internal drive that is unrelated to the states of other people, or at least that's what i think.
