I'm no expert, but based on what I skimmed over, you're talking about a multi-day death, and that's with no intervention. Not to mention you'd probably just throw up first anyway, body is not having that

I tried overdosing with Advil. I got in the psych hospital. It was only 15 minutes before my survival instincts kicked in. I did my research before attempting. It takes 8 hours for the antidote to not work. Then after that, all your organs shut down. Even when I was in the hospital for the overdose, my blood got very concentrated with the acetaminophen, and I was so nauseous. It was a horrible feeling. I couldn't eat but was starving and also was nauseous. It's a horrible feeling that couldn't go away, and I couldn't distract myself from it. It would have been really bad if I actually followed through, but there's also no way I could combat my survival instinct. I had a heart rate of 195 and wasn't even walking.

agreed. can't od on anything if you puke before reaching the LD50. that's why most otc overdoses suck.

thanks for giving your story. it's kind of horrifying to imagine having to wait 8 hours before you're unable to receive help. even if someone waited the 8 hours they'd probably still be in extreme pain for days before dying of liver failure. i'm sorry that you experienced that and that so many other people did while attempting to od. i've never experienced it but it still sounds scary even when you get help.
