48 hour or stat dose?

Does anyone know which SN reigimine is more effective ? What's the purpose of the 48 hour one ?

I remember reading on stan's guide it saying if you were worried about vomiting you could do the 48 hour regimen, but it also says both are equally effective so I'm not sure.
