Is it possible to have a relationship without sex?

Hi, since i took antidepressants i am totally impotent. i suffer from genital numbness, penis shrinkness, erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, low semen, watery semen, soft glans.

I was a very sexual guy and had a lot of one night stands and affairs. But now my whole system is broken with all these symptoms. I cannot have Sex with this condition.

People are telling me, now it's my only possibility to find a girl that is not much interested in Sex, maybe an older girl. And my girls used to be younger before this, i am 38 now.

Can you see, that this would be against my whole basic idea? I had younger girls, i had sex without relationship, and so on.

I don't know how to arrange with that. The other idea is to stay alone for the rest of my life.

Im so sorry youre going through this. Im 19 and going through the same thing from a different kind of medication. I know how difficult it is to cope with. I really hope that either your issues resolve or that youre able to otherwise find peace in some way.

Not everyone's sex mad. I've had great relationships in either category. Sexual desire diminishes over time, that's natural, no matter how stunning they are. Companionship, love and laughter mean much more in the long run.

Sex isn't essential to have a healthy relationship, all that matters is intimacy, on any level. Soon, as you grow, you'll have less of an urge to have sex, its normal.

Yes, it is possible. If your lucky you can try find a woman who is asexual and does not want sex or just someone who can live without. As an asexual myself I do not really see a problem in not having sex, but you said you were a very sexual guy before, so it seems like a big loss to you. I have heard of people having sex without penetration, that also had a great experience. If that is not an option for you, you can always just stay single and find inner peace alone without anyone else. Best wishes

I'm a woman and I think that I'm also asexual. I'm also using antidepressants. So maybe the medication made me asexual. I can live without sex my whole life. I don't actually enjoy penetration at all. I can live without it.

This must be really hard to go through, but luckily there are many people who want relationships without sex. I'm asexual and I know many other girls who are too.

Yeah, like friends, siblings, and coworkers. Those are all relationships where no sex is involved.

Yes, there are people out there who are sex-repulsed and/or have a low libido. While sex is portrayed as being an integral part of a healthy relationship, that doesn't apply to everyone. Some people aren't that into sex and instead prefer focusing on the more emotional aspects to a relationship.

Also, older women are typically still interested in sex. Someone's interest in sex has nothing to do with age. If that were the case then there wouldn't be an issue with nursing homes having a lot of STDs spreading around and there wouldn't be hordes of older women engaging with lots of erotic media and books. Hell, you can still find older women writing smutty fanfics (and they're usually pretty well-written, lol). I am seriously growing sick of people acting as though women suddenly lose their sexualities once they aren't in their 20s anymore. It's weird and creepy. Older women are sexual beings too. Your sexuality typically stays with you from in the womb up until death.

I know a lot of women around my age (21) who aren't even into sex and who find the idea of sex to be gross and repulsive. Also, can you please stop referring to women as girls?/g It's infantilizing.
