Discussion I Wish We Could All Do A Heaven's Gate

As in - I WISH we could all pool our resources together and CTB as a group. Or break into several groups at different times when a group of us is ready to go. I'm just thinking out loud here - but since we can never trust our Governments in our respective nations to implement a fair and comprehensive Euthanasia system, I wish there was a way to create an "Underground Railroad" to CTB. A huge barrier to that is, at least in my country (The US), assisting others in CTB is very illegal - but there is strength in numbers and they can't punish you if you're dead.

So many on this site will have access to something, but not everything they need to successfully CTB. For instance - I have a car and a license, but I can't legally purchase a gun. Someone else on this forum may have the ability to purchase a gun, but not have a method of transportation. That's what I mean about pooling our resources. Also - when I think of a case like Heaven's Gate (which was less ethically dubious than Jonestown - Jonestown was more of a massacre than a mass CTB) I just WISH I could have been a part of something like that. I think a barrier many of us face when it comes to CTB is that we have to go through it alone, due to the fact it's something we can't trust others to even speak about, due to our disgustingly Draconian Mental Health system. I think a reason so many of us push for ASSISTED CTB is the assistance more than anything. Not having to go through the process of death (which is objectively terrifying on a subconscious level) alone.

Speaking of - it would be so incredible to commit a Mass CTB during Mental Health Awareness Month as an extreme protest against said Draconian Mental Health System. I know I'm mostly waxing wishful thinking here, but - I think there could be a lot of power in finding more ways to pool our resources. It's already incredibly helpful we can have a meeting of pro-choice minds in a world that's becoming more and more PSYCHOTICALLY pro life - I wish we could find ways to take that a step further.

I don't think the users here would agree to be castrated like the many member of Heaven's Gate before death (which was probably due to the leaders repression and issues with sexuality/ internalized homophobia if I remember correctly according to a few interviews from the members before their deaths)

So heavens gate is a REALLY bad example but I kinda vibe with the overall idea.
Someone on here shared a photo a few days ago of three women doing full suspensions together in some sort of protest. It was beautiful.

I get not wanting to feel alone when you do it, i feel very similarly. It would be nice to have someone or even multiple people, all doing their last thing together. But as far as comparing it to a cult... I think most of the users on this site want it to not be considered a 'death cult', like the media has been attempting to categorize it as. A cult implies brainwashing and doing things not because you want to, but because you've been brainwashed to.

Pooling resources would be super helpful, adding a note as to why we're forced to do this because people have a fear of pro-choice and the mental health system is a joke, well that couldn't hurt. Probably wouldn't get much coverage since they don't like to report on suicides for yet another fear, of the contagion effect. So in for the resources. Out for the statement. One can dream when you can't get the resources yourself.

Heaven's Gate was a bad example. I DON'T MEAN START A CULT - I was just referring to the VERY END result which was people coming together to CTB. JUST THE CTB PART. No castrations or comets or religious stuff.

MY IDEA (which I should have expanded upon) was to just have a way to POOL OUR RESOURCES AS A GROUP. As in - someone with access to firearms brings firearms. Someone with access to Fent brings Fent. Someone who knows how to put together an inert gas rig brings one etc. etc. so on and so forth.

That's what I meant when I said "Underground Railroad" to CTB. We can't trust our respective governments to create a fair and comprehensive assisted CTB system - the only way to not CTB alone is to come together on our own. I know how unrealistic it sounds, but this post was just a lot of wishful thinking on my part.

On the most simple level - I feel like if we all work together we could at the very least have access to more stuff. Folks on here say that the biggest barrier to CTB is the fact there are no reliable and peaceful methods. That's not true. It's just that the items needed are hard to access (for some, but maybe not for others).

Example: Firearms and Fent. The 2 Big Fs. What more could you need for a peaceful exit? (I mean there's several more, but to me those are the two best methods.) And in the US - those are two things that are abundant. The fundamental unfairness being they are most difficult to get for Disabled law abiding citizens. And I feel like Disabled law abiding citizens is the largest demographic here.

Blaaahhh I'm just thinking out loud. I just really wish we had more collective power to get ourselves and each other the items we need to have the CTB experiences we WANT, and not the ones we're stuck with.
