Just wanting some peace

Many people see death as scary as it is the unknown. Nobody truly knows what happens after this life. I'm personally not scared of death, I believe there is nothing after this, and that thought brings me comfort as I will have permanent peace. Death is the solution for all of life's problems. When we die this life seems meaningless in comparison. Suicidal people find death comforting as it is a way out from this hell that we live in.

It's comforting because we are going to have peace someday. And also we won't have to deal with anything.

But it's scary at the same time because we don't know what we can expect. We are just scared of unknown.

It's comforting because it's akin to being asleep. It's scary because you'll never wake up.

I think death is scary because we don't know what comes after it. It's a complete mystery.

We sort of know what we are facing here, even if it is hard to deal with. We have never had someone come back and tell us what it is like when you are dead. There is a real fright in not know where we are going or what we are facing when we get there. Then there is SI.

We do know that exiting leaves all the bad behind us. No more having to suffer the pain caused by the adversities that we face in this world. Those thoughts provide a feeling of comfort and security.

It's comforting because it's an end to your pain and simultaneously terrifying because it's also the end of you.

We are genetically hardwired to avoid death. Its what we are meant to do; survive, adapt, spread our genes, and surpass our conspecifics and/or other species to fulfill our own niche, as best as possible.

Unfortunately its very hard to remove that instinctive fear of death. Its very natural, and normal. I know many individuals, some even on this very forum, insist that they do not fear death, but I don't believe it. When faced with life or death, one will always be stricken with fear, until they have no other choice but to endure and accept it. When we accept death, our mind dies.

Death is a natural course of life. Without death, there is no life. Our energy is then used to feed the ground, plants, and other organisms, until it manifests as another entity. That's what I believe, anyway. It is scientific law: energy cannot be created nor destroyed; only converted into other forms. We've been on this Earth longer than we could ever imagine. It is natural to fear death, but it is something you've experienced time and time again.

Thinking about death and suicide makes us feel like the anxieties/worries of the future are irrelevant and that we dont need to think about it.
