Why does the pulse rise after taking SN? Adrenalin? Kartizol? What's going on inside behind the scene? Is this a defense mechanism? Okay. Does beta blockers give me a 5% benefit? Or will it just make me calm but not give a 5% advantage to positively taking the bus?

i think the sn changes your blood so it stops carrying oxygen. the cells start screaming,we aint gettin no oxygen!! the heart panics, and says "wtf???" i gotta pump harder! wait-did that bastard finally go and take SN?? shit,i gotta pump..gasp...harder...harder..."

I think it's the lack of oxygen. The brain send a signal to the heart to work faster in order to produce more oxygen, and that's why the pulse increases.

The beta blocker, if I recall right, just "cut" the signal sent from the brain.

I think this is explained (way better lol) in the pph.

According to what I read, it's so your system can filter out the toxic substance quicker. PPH says the beta blocker is wrongly called optional in many resources.

SN basicly destroys the oxygen in your blood cells and your body tries to compensate the missing oxygen with pumping more blood through your body.

It's your heart working fast to pump oxygen around the body

I believe your heart rate increases because of the lack of oxygen reaching the brain and other tissues. Its kind of a paradox, the oxygen is present but can't be given to the tissues because Fe3+ has a higher affinity for oxygen than Fe2+. Your heart races because it believes oxygen is not being delivered to the cells (which it's not) and beats faster to get more oxygen into the cells. Your cells can only go without oxygen for so long and your heart races to get oxygen in faster.
