One of my favorites is/was SwissAusfahrt. He was very intelligent, had this ability to figure out technical things, seemed fearless, and had a good sense of humor. I think he ctb last fall, and I miss his presence on the site.

I have to agree. I don't think it's positive it just highlights to the people who are already insanely lonely and unloved that we are awkward and not liked here. Telling people to unwatch something that could potentially validate this feeling of worthlessness if they are mentioned is surely not in the spirit of the thread if it was meant to be a nice thing.

#2. I DETEST popularity. Nobody will EVER mention me here, cuz im a piece of sh1t. But when i saw a moment to say something nice about the people i DO like here, i take it. Because saying something nice is what this thread is obviously about, not bloody popularity. Nobody is counting votes. If you cant derive any joy from giving a kind word to others, then i pity you. Thats all i can do to keep my spirits up. Its not about popularity....its about giving with NO reciprocation. And its not about OUT THERE. Tbh, I don't really see the need/use for threads like these because the people who want to compliment others can just do so directly to the person or in private. Unless it's for op themselves but yeah, how is this positive or useful or beneficial for op? Maybe op just wants to see who are friends etc but why? Maybe op wants to see who are most liked/most popular but why? Maybe op wants to be mentioned? Maybe it's to give a chance for some to receive appreciation? But again, that can be done directly and/or in private. Plus, I think, if it's sincere, it wouldn't need an opportunity like this one to be expressed. It would be expressed immediately and directly. Maybe op just wanted to create a thread for whatever reason and didn't have other ideas? Who knows. Anyway.
