Who will miss you?

If the day for you to leave this world comes, who do you think will miss you once you're gone?

I think that my dad will really miss me and will never get over my death. Oh, and my dog will also certainly miss me and my loving care.

As for the rest of the people, I bet they will miss me at first and remember "what a nice guy" I was but after some weeks just will move on.


What about you? Is there anybody who will miss you once you're not part of this reality anymore?

Definitely my friends, especially the closest ones. I'm worried about leaving one friend who I know struggles with thinking about cbt too and I would really like him to not do same thing as me if it ever comes to it.

It has been a (kind off) deliberate choice to disappear from the lives of people that used to care about me. Now if I pass, they will only go "oh that's somebody that I used to know" but it won't hurt as much and I don't think they will miss me.

Without a doubt my family. I suspect that most of my immediate family will be destroyed by my suicide and I have this fear that it may make them sick or have them follow in my footsteps. I really don't want to set off a chain of suicides, but I can't do this anymore. Maybe this is selfish to ask, but how much more do I have to reduce myself before my death becomes acceptable? I can only hope that my loved ones will be able to lean on one another and become closer after my passing.

I don't really have any friends left, beyond a couple of people I talk to online, so that's not going to be too much of a problem. I really do worry about my cat though. I adopted her almost ten years ago and if cats can imprint on humans then she certainly has. She's very clingy and being a cat, she will be too stupid to really understand what's happened -- she will only know that I have vanished.

Of course, I realise that I haven't been able to influence the actions of others while I am living, so I shouldn't expect that to change after I've died. Still, I really hope that everyone will end up being okay.

My parents and some friends. But most people will move on fairly quickly. As they should. It's probably a necessary part of human programming to move on and be immersed back into your own life, otherwise humans would just be held back by insurmountable PTSD like many of us are here.

without any doubts, my best (and only) friend. he will miss me and i him (if that was possible when dead). he is the only one i think who will feel sadness and not anger too, he gets it - because he struggles with mental illness also, i hope once i'm gone he finds the strength to continue his life and find happiness. only family members i still talk to regularly are two of my sisters, they will miss me -but- i know they will have a lot of anger towards me for catching the bus. one sister especially is likely to blame herself as she tends to do that but i really hope she doesn't let those thoughts eat at her. my sister's kids too, god they're so young - and for years they've kept me alive simply because I love them so much and I would hate to fuck up their heads at such a young age in losing somebody who they are close to, even if truly they don't know me at all. everybody else, i've pushed them away throughout the years. i really wish i could just erase my existence without hurting these few people, but unfortunately that is not a luxury i will be granted
