I don't care for this physical body shit, everything we do revolves around it, it's like a prison. Once had an obe and that was like the greatest gift, it was exciting, and was a holy shit moment where you realize there is something so much better than this ,it felt complete with total acceptance and loved. Of course I never made it all the way and now I don't know, it could just be a product of a dying brain, but after a close family member suicided they hung around for many weeks, we would often talk about the after life (when he was living) and I feel this was his way of confirming that existance.

Realistically, a boyfried/husband, my own place, a job with actually nice people, no mental illnesses or addiction, have friends/family who I can relate to on things. Oh and leagize weed.


Unrealistically I would we a wizard who goes around saving universes. (I literally fantasze the adventures based on this for years.)

I would want a rationalist society that puts the quality of life index before just growth of GDP and keeps long term sustainability of the world and its ecosystems in mind. Where politics were not about cults of personalities but costed policies arrived at via evidence based knowledge led by experts in their field. Where politicians lying or not answering questions resulted in being fired like any other job. I would also make being a Prime Minster or MP paid at the same rate as teachers. This way you would get less millionaires imposing their world view and more average people that do live in the real world. I would want critical thinking taught in schools as standard and mental health to have parity of esteem with physical health issues. I would want the media barons engaged in blatant untruths to be investigated and sued with the same ferocity as if coca cola told you it was good for your teeth.

The better world I want though does not exist, in the driving seat is greed and stupidity and future generations of youth set to inherit a wasteland.

I do have hope for my children. They are strong, intelligent, and compassionate kids. They give more than they receive. The world around them is decaying at a fast rate though. Gone are the days when you did not have to lock your doors. Neighbors who looked out for you and your place. When how well you did something mattered more than how much you made doing it. It does appear that kind, trusting, and honest people are no longer the role models, and that is a very bad scenario. Humanity is heading for a big crash here if somehow they do not change. And right now, I have very little confidence that they can turn it around.

Ideally mostly devoid of humans, but if there had to be large human societies I would change two things:

1. Eliminate scarcity from the get go. Make it so that in any given place there are enough (renewable) resources for every human to satisfy their needs. If this were the case it would eliminate the need for competition between factions, and therefore prevent wars and the tribalist state of mind that is still present in all of us, which would hopefully pretty much eliminate discrimination based on things like gender, race, sexuality etc.

2. Change humans in such a way that in a given situation they will always choose the least harmful possible action in regards to other people. Make it so that nobody would go out of their way to be cruel, but always go out of their way to be kind to others. This should eliminate a lot of interpersonal conflict, which leads to misery and infighting.

I guess there is an argument to be made that a lot of this cruelty and competition have led to great advances in technology and the arts, but I think humans would be industrious regardless, and this time in a much more sustainable way. And even if humans became "less" developed I think it would be completely worth it, if it meant an end to the sheer evil that people cause today.
