A rope like this? Or are there other ones that are better suited for hanging?

The wiki lists many types of rope and even ranks them.

Pretty much anything can be used as a ligature. Ropes, cables, scarves, dressing gown cords, bedding etc etc

Seems okay but lately I've read that ropes hurt your neck and it's better to use some other stuff such as neckties, sheets, scarfs, etc.
In my case, I tried to hang myself (partial) three times with neckties but wasn't able to find my sweet spot nor lose consciousness.

For myself, I avoid any synthetic ropes. They are very rough and aren't easy to make knots. When you do get a knot, the rope doesn't seem to slide through it very smoothly

Shibari bondage ropes, there's a reason why they're used to bind kinky mofos. It's comfortable and the knots never get loose. You can find them at your sex store.

I wonder this, but hanging accounts for more than half of all suicides so I wonder if it is really that bad or we condition ourselves to believe it is.. allegedly, if done right, even without a drop, unconscious should come around in 8-20 seconds, so is that it? Do we feel or know what's going on when we're unconscious? I would imagine no but can't say for certain.. so is it really as bad as people say.. or is it an attempt to put people off? I don't know

True. The only plus side is within 15 minutes life and all suffering will be over, so are those couple of minutes of distress or pain before unconsciousness worth it.. depends on your will to die. I'm definitely considering it if I can't go ahead with CO
