I'd love for it to be that we go someplace nice, like a place we've always dreamed of. For me it would be a natural area like the pics I put below, with no problems of today (like sickness, war stress). and we'd get to meet people of similar minds to us, make friends and experience things we never got to experience in this life, like being happy and at peace.
But at the same time I think I'm being too optimistic.
In my opinion, the most logical thing that would happen after death is either its like before we were born, just nothing. and it seems like a lot of people struggle to comprehend that. Or reincarnation. Idk why, it just makes sense to me 🤷‍♀️

In reality nothing.

My fantasy would be heaven for most people but hell for Iraq war conspirators and collaborators.

I would hope they would get a sort of hell where basically they are in a desert with no escape . They starve in the desert and never die, the hunger would just gnaw at them forever and ever. Add in burning oil wells like 1991 Kuwait for more effect - they have to smell the burning

I think there's a chance of something after death but if there is we're not meant to know now. I hope I didn't just exist to suffer.

What do I want to happen? This is something I think of often and I'm really not sure. Do I want an eternal paradise with loved ones or splendid beings or maybe even new friends I make there? Or do I just want to enter oblivion so I can finally rest, so my mind can stop moving forever?

But what do I think will actually happen? Most likely, I will cease to exist. It will be like before I was born, simply a state of non existence. That does not sound so bad to me.

At the end of the day, none of us really knows.

I used to think nothing, we just become worm food, but the more I get closer to the thought and idea of ctb, my brain has suddenly started to get all spiritual. I started looking into reincarnations etc. I know its silly, and maybe its just another way SI is kicking in, but in the end, no one really knows.

I'm scared of nothingness so I constantly hope that there will just be something maybe it's because I was raised religious that I still have some hope for the afterlife. It can't just all be for nothing.

I had this one dream/nightmare? about a year ago and I just decided that it was probably like that. After that I kept thinking there will be something like meeting loved ones and old friends, just peace and not really anything but being around them in a content and peaceful way. No big party just calmness. I'm more scared of if anything will come after the afterlife.
I think there will be a short period of regret and sadness because suicide is considered tragic before we would fully be able to move on.

Suicide is the greatest the sin according to all the major religions , People like Adolf Hitler , Pol Pot , Kim Jong Un (and his father ) , Queen Victoria's of England , King Leopold's of Belgium , Arab Slave Trading Merchants , Joseph Kony , Idi Amin , Rupert Murdochs , Rockfeller Family , Rothschild Families, Mao Zedung , Khaddafi , Sadda Huseein , Pablo Escobar , Dawood Ibrahim , Charles Taylor Right wing Nationalists of India and the Jihadists every everyone who have commited greater sins will be forgiven and pardoned and will be promised a place in heaven not Suiciders , people like Joshua Milton Blahyi (warlord in liberia) is a pastor in liberia and is already forgiven hahaha. the list will continue forever forgive me everyone going to get pardoned for their sins against Humans , just people who suicide will suffer ,

its said that for Suicide survivors their worst fears come to a realisation

i imagine hypothetical situation after suicide , i am put in a box with crawling insects such as centipede , millipedes , snakes all live crawling through my body through my nostrils ear mouth without hurting me , as no physical body . i dont know . the insects and reptiles are my worst fears .

or with an awareness i am in a dark space , after death no memories the organ of memories brain is gone , no vision , no taste , no hearing , no sense , just aware in a dark hole in a distant galaxy , just the awareness without knowing what i am in an endless loop

another possibility is just nothing , just nothing no memory nothing :- non existence <-- i would desire this

another possibility being a mute spectator to everything left behind . i dont know how would it work without sense organs , i have read near death experiences by people written claiming they were able to see their own dying scene in the hospital , doctors nurse trying to resuscitate them

I dont Know

People, stop saying no one knows. We can know, and we do. Consciousness is not some immaterial substance, it is material. We live in a material universe. And that universe continues on after you, and your identity & ego die.

Its not even nothingness. You will be dead, no awareness, or memory, or consciousness of anything. As far as we can tell these things depend upon having material/physical brains. You won't even experience "nothingness", everything "you" think of as "you" will simply cease to exist; life, nature, the universe will continue on quite unabated without you. I know, it is a blow to our ego. We literally evolved to conceive of nothing else.

"Today a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves. I believe personally in reincarnation, but with in betweens. I don't apostlyze my beliefs, but personally I'm spiritual, and I see and hear things. From what I know for myself, it's much better than here.

You just cease to exist and it will be like before you were born. Still, part of me clings on to the irrational hope of being reincarnated and getting to live a life where I'm not shackled down by despair.

This is definitely what it is, the ego wants to preserve itself which is why I think spiritual some people believe in 'past lives' in the first place. It's also not silly btw :)

That is our perception but our perception could be limited to not having a concept of the metaphysical. What you say could just be the natural assumption that our physical minds can perceive.

I believe that there is nothing after this, when we lose consciousness, that is the end of us. When we are dead, we cannot suffer and nothing can hurt us. To me, death is true peace.

There has never been any evidence that anything metaphysical exists. Only the physical, and material.
I believe there is something more.

Before my Dad passed, he told me "You know, I'm curious to find out what comes next." He saw his own father after he died and my dad is NOT a believer in that sort of thing. My grandmother swore she saw my late Grandfather in her back yard two days before she had an aneurysm and died.

I've experienced enough myself to believe we go on. I just want to see my family again and be free of this agony and torment. And be reunited with the people I am forced to leave behind in the blink of an eye. I believe love is forever. It just is.

I guess everyone just has to wait and see "what's next."
There's never been any scientific evidence that ghosts or spirits exist, so people telling stories like that could simply be mistaken, hallucinating, or something. There is a much likelier explanation that it is an explainable psychological phenomenon, as opposed to being a supernatural one, since there has never been any evidence that anything supernatural exists.

love the idea but I'd pitch for thirst instead of hunger. Dehydration is worst than starvation

You should read about the concept of pure lands in buddhism like sukhavati, Amitabha Buddhas pure land. All religions have similar concepts of death not being the end of life. Theres alot of studies about nde's and consciousness not being localised.

Personally I believe our soul/mind continues like buddhism says. And I pray I can reborn in a pure land like sukhavati. Thats why praying to Amitabha Buddha. So I do believe in reincarnation and it makes sense to me personally.
