Ive currently mostly recovered from my almost decade long depression and currently, the only people who know that I even had depression and anorexia is my gf and a couple of my friends and I have masked it from my parents. Should I tell them? They really dont know a lot about me since I dont really trust them with anything because usually the next time we have guests they bring it up as a topic. So should I tell them? or is it even normal to hide most of my life from my parents?

Sometimes a half way measure might be workable. You may not want to use a specific label. Rather if you mention anything you might find a simple way to describe it such as instead of saying anorexia, you could say that until recently you had some anxieties about exercising control in you life. By keeping it vague, you can still mention something but avoid being classified.

You might float something even more general and less specific as a sort of "trial balloon" to see what their reaction might be. You might even ask them not to discuss what you have been dealing with. If they can keep your confidence, you might be able to trust them with more.
