Thinking now perhaps I should try and get SN while it's still "easily" available (a couple posts about DMC starting to ask people why they're buying makes me a little wary that Something's Up), but have realized a flaw in my planning. Several SN regiments mentions benzos, (prescribed) antiemetics, etc.

While I have OTC antiemetics avaliable, and I think at some point my parents had some sort of leftover prescribed one in the medicine cabinet Somewhere, there's no way I can get these medications if it turns out I'm wrong. And can't get benzos at all. My insurance is currently hot garbage, and I'm broke at the moment, mostly because my car's alternator picked the perfect time of year to die whilst most people are already strapped for cash (read: holiday season).

I'm aware that people can die from just about anything if circumstances are ideal enough, but how much will this increase the risk of failure? I planned on fasting ahead of time if I go through with this, obviously, but not sure how much success is based on each factor. Like — is it only 50% estimate of succeeding if there's no benzos? Or are they just for "comfort"? Are the antiemetics mostly for preventing vomiting, or for increasing absorption?

Sorry if any of these are particularly stupid questions. I have a major fear of failing — less so because "you could be a vegetable" (because if so, at least I'll be unaware) and moreso that I'll either have to deal with the fallout/consequences — and would rather my chances be as optimal as is possible.

Antiemetics are the most important. People have succeeded without it but it's just there to alleviate suffering. Some still vomit even with it. but it's recommended to have AE atleast of some kind.

Antiemetics has dual role both for preventing vomiting and fast gastric emptying. Some help with nausea as well.

Fasting is also another critical thing. You want your stomach to be empty (8-12 hours is enough) so sn doesn't get diluted.

Your SN is a pretty stable substance. If it was me I would get the necessary benzos, pain med & antiemetic.
It could be the difference between success & failure🤗💔

benzos are for mental comfort/a luxury really; ease anxiety
get ibuprofen for pain relief - not just a luxury
nobody seems to know the effectiveness without ae but there have been successful cases

From your questions it seems like you haven't seen this amazing resource yet! https://i.sanctioned-suicide.net/images/2022/04/148291_SN_guide_english.pdf

It details why everything is needed, as well as the importance of each in the case you want to CTB through SN as well as a general schedule that you should follow, so I'd recommend that you read the entire document. Hope it's useful for you!
I haven't seen this! Thank you for the resource.

I went and did find the antiemetic we have — it's 4mg ondansetron (zofran), three doses. Not sure if this is the "ideal" antiemetic but Google says it blocks the action of serotonin and can have anti-anxiety effects, so...it's something? Bottle says it's expired but some of my household have taken it post-expiration date and had it work just fine, so might risk it if I can't get anything else.

It seems like all of the stories involving SN have the people throwing up. Is that always the case? Do some people not throw up and peacefully fall asleep?

I mean, if you OD on anything you'll probably throw up. It's kind of one of your body's immediate defenses at getting rid of something potentially poisonous or hazardous to you...it's just not always "enough" to prevent death or injury.
