My SN got delivered yesterday - I'm the UK btw.

I bought it as back up, I know there is a million threads like this but just had a few questions.

I'm currently on anti sickness tablets at the moment will that be sufficient?
Will a basic over the counter antacid like rennies do?
lastly can you take sleeping pills alongside it?

I remember from the Peaceful pill handbook that rennies was not recommended because it brings a layer on your stomach lining. You need to get a H2 histamine antagonis like omeprazol, here in the netherlands you can get it over the counter. You also need to make sure you take the appropriate antiemetic regiment to prevent from throwing up.

I got tagament shipped from America to the UK. Tagament is the recommended antacid. Yes you can take sleeping pills. I am going to take a sleeping pill with some benzos.

What anti-sickness medicine are you taking?

About the antacid: Tagamet is indeed the recommended one. It's OTC available in the US and you can ship it to the UK/Europe.

About sleeping pills: I think this question is more complicated. Do you sometimes take these and know how you react to them? Taking benzo's like Xanax to calm down before taking it is considered okay, but sleeping pills? If you take these together with SN, SN will probably work faster than the pills. If you take the sleeping pills too early, you might fall asleep before taking SN. I guess it depends on timing and I'm not sure how much benefit there might be. I would only take these if you know already how you respond to them, as this is different for everyone.

It depends what it is... if it's domperidone (most commonly prescribed here in the UK) or another similar antiemetic/meto then it'll work fine.

Failing that, if you have omeprazole (a PPI - something that I'm prescribed for my reflux) then PPH does say that 80mg of that has roughly the same effect.

Currently on Cyclizine hydrochloride will that work?

AFAIK Cyclizine is a H1 receptor antagonist, whereas the recommended Tagamet is a H2 receptor antagonist (H1 is used to treat allergy symptoms and H2 is used to treat gastrointestinal conditions)

Sadly I have no idea if this makes a difference with SN, I don't think H1 would work or be helpful, but it might be worth researching if you can't find an easy alternative.
