Risk taking/ ctb by accident.

I just wondered how many of you are the same as me.. in that you have your 'primary' methods worked out, be it SN or jumping or whatever... but then I have what I think of as my 'secondary' methods.. which is just the stuff I do to take risks.. hoping it will end my life if I have a bit of luck, but it's probably unlikely. Like driving as fast as I can where ever I go. I challenge myself to not use my brakes as well however bendy the road, or meeting people I don't know from the internet hoping they will kill me.. or just taking a load of coke hoping I might OD. I won't go into details but also ignoring medical advice and risking fatal consequences.. things like that.
Anyone else?

I can relate.
For instance, I hate going to hospitals so I just avoid them while my health is getting worse.

I guess I'm kinda waiting to have one random accident on the streets some day too.

Anyway, I hope to be able to use my primary method (SN or N if a miracle happens lol)

I do think alcohol is a major antidote to SI. I was driving tonight and I was a bit drunk tbh and yes I'm a pile of shit for drink driving I know.. but it was long straight roads no other vehicles around.. and I was trying to work up the courage to just crash.. and I felt more confident about it than I ever normally do because of the alcohol.. just nicely numb and chilled and music pumping I just felt one second away from crashing into a tree. I guess tonight wasn't the night though :-(

perhaps you and I should get together and discuss this further...

Yup, no longer looking before crossing the road, driving stupidly fast and only using peripheral for driving over roundabouts. Those road signs for bends that advise a maximum speed around them, it's like they're asking me to try and go faster. I've often had to stop myself from driving and remind myself that hey just because I want to die doesn't mean other people on the road do too. Recently I also had an infection and I just ignored it for about 3 weeks, hoping it would get into my blood and kill me. Unfortunately it didn't and ended up taking 2 weeks longer to clear up than it would've if I had just went to the doctors for antibiotics.

I haven't thought much about impulsive attempts since discovering this site and working out my SN method actually though I used to stare at busy roads sometimes while walking downtown and imagining myself getting hit by a bus or truck whenever I got too stressed. One time I even walked out of the place I was working at without telling anyone and just wandered the nearby freeway for a couple hours thinking about walking into oncoming cars before I chickened out and decided to just quit that day.

As for now though, if the SN fails my backup method is to do as little as possible to treat my diabetes and hope that kills me. I already continue to barely exercise and eat like a pig so fingers crossed.
