I took a look and, frankly, a lot of these videos I found truly disturbing to watch. It's one thing to read about someone who ctbs, in which the gory details are almost always left out, and it's quite another to actually witness it. I'm especially curious about someone wanting to livestream their suicide. On the one hand, it seems to me to be the ultimate act of attention seeking behavior. After all, they are putting themselves on full display to complete strangers at the most vulnerable moment in their lives. On the other hand, though, assuming they're successful, they're not going to be around long enough to actually receive the attention that they seem to be seeking. Is it that they get off on the prelude to the final act do you think? To use a sexual analogy, is it more about the foreplay rather than the climax? Could they actually be looking to get egged on? I'm guessing some people might actually enjoy watching this irl, but I would be mortified to witness it as it's actually happening. It's bad enough to see the blood and guts all splayed out after the fact, and I admit to being morbidly fascinated by the idea of suicide. It certainly puts me off to violent methods in public spaces. I'll ctb peacefully and in private, most likely by SN in a hotel room, thank you very much.
