I want to write a note for my close family and friends that eases their pain as much as possible. I do not need to explain why I chose to do it, they know. I also want to make it short and concise. What can I write that will help minimize their distress as much as possible?

I don't know exactly what you should write, I'm fairly new to this website, but you might want to include something along the lines of you are grateful for them and that you are at peace and not in anguish. You might also want to include something like they did a lot for you, and they had no negative influence on your choice, and it's not their fault in any way, shape, or form. Idk, don't trust me completely on this, like I said, I'm new here, and I wish you peace when you decide to do it.

The truth is that no matter what you write, they are going to be in pain. They will likely blame themselves in one way or another; they will wonder what they could have done differently, how they might have helped. You can tell them there's nothing anyone could have done, but it's a haunting question that they will likely think for a long time, maybe the rest of their lives. I don't say any of this to dissuade you or fill you with guilt, but there's not really anything to say that will truly minimize that kind of hurt. Just remind them how much you love them, that it isn't their fault, and that you're at peace now. I know how difficult and emotional writing something like this can be. I hope that you find the peace you're looking for

Thank you. I know that in the end everyone will be better of without me existing but if I wrote that I think it might not help. Just wrote down a draft note but now that I read it again I think they will probably think it sounds kind of delusional, I really wish I could convey my thoughts so that everyone would understand. But perhaps it is best like you say to remind them of my love and that I will be in peace, nothing else can really help...
