Hi. I woke up early this morning. There was a very large hole in the bottom of my tent.
Here's what I remember
Hyperventilating a lot
Passing out
I remember having more vision from very blurry vision outside my tent waking up looking at the ground then climbing a fence and sitting down
After 10 minutes I walked home very slowly
A headache ensued, took pain killers
Reducing stimulus ATM staying calm
Drinking some booze to take the edge off
- I can't believe it didn't work -
- I was really hoping it would be more subtle -
I just remember breathing really hard before I passed out I think, it was hard to talk, like running super hard on a treadmill, I was so dizzy when I sat up I laid down and I think I passed out after that moment.
I just remember looking at my tent and there was a 2 foot hole, ash everywhere about 2 hours later. I might have convulsed i don't know. Mounted the cooker fine, it was all the hot ash underneath that some how spread it's self and burned a fucking massive hole.
This was my experience for the community.
It's a bad method I think because there wasn't a really high amount to begin with, lots of feeling like suffocation before you essentially pass out like a fish out of water.
I don't know what else to say. I feel let down to be honest.
I hope this informs in some way, I've seen generator forums and that seems like it would work better but this method is just sitting until you feel you can't breathe essentially. Even if the concentration is really high, you are still going to be gasping for air like you've been swimming underwater for a whole minute or something and swimming really hard.
I read studies on dogs and other animals before I did this, they don't mention effects except disorientation and un-coordination until loss of consciousness, so I think in theory administering a very high ppm dose and entering very quickly is most effective. This way was very uncomfortable though I found.
My rating
Pain - 1/10 felt no pain. Just mild panic symptoms like slow reactions and panic and mild nausea and feeling like you've drunk a bottle of vodka, can't move, and don't feel drunk but everything slows way down
Peacefulness - 2/10 your not thinking about anything besides how hard it is to breathe, and how your heart is going. I waited before going in and remember almost going to sleep until it got hard to breathe bit that was after about 2-5 minutes
SI - 7/10 Hard to breathe the atmosphere requires a lot of self control without a concoction to let you fall asleep before
After effects: 8/10 unless calm, and minimising movement, headache was pretty bad as a reminder, feel a bit pissed off as well but that's a given.
Looking for another way now.
Possibly a high jump.
God it was so shit, especially the burning feeling the next day. The taste on my lungs wasn't nice.
And it wasn't odourless. Or tasteless. I remember a very noticeable flavour unlike anything I've tasted before. It tasted quite, thick and like a mild detergent. Or felt like inhaling very thick cigarette smoke.
Acidity: 2/10
Metallic: 5/10
General chemical flavour: 8/10
Oh and my whole body aches a bit too but I'm pretty hard going so my thoughts are that it's manageable with a few painkillers but if there wasn't a hole in my tent it would have worked.
It's legit a cheap method though, cost me under 100 and not painful, just major SI from heart rate increasing quite rapidly as the ppm rises.
I feel kinda of now, just really dejected and hung over.
Need to find a better method, it wasn't peaceful at all in my view, it requires some ability to 'switch off' even though you feel like you are suffocating. If I did it again I guess I'd know what to expect though now. And could quite easily just absorb it next time.
Despite the ppm, you are still going to struggle to breathe to get as much oxygen as possible.
