Method Light rail suicide?

My city has a decently robust light rail network. Someone died recently by getting hit in a station. What are the chances of dying by light rail? would it be better to try to find a section of heavier rail?

Light rail fatalities are rare. The vehicles have excellent brakes and have a low average speed.
