Litteraly. It's all just a question if how lucky you are.

Karma, free will, law of attraction, etc are all bs.

No offence.
I heard that my aunts husband took a second wife who turns out to be...their cleaning lady ( nice way to say slave).

If you live in a western country, then it's no big deal to you probably. But where I live it's considered extremely embarrassing, worse than death and now my aunt is suicidal.

The part that he took a second wife isn't the worst part for her, the worst part for her is that she was their maid (slave).

Her children look extremely depressed too. We grew up close because she is one of my mom's best friends. She is not my aunt by blood. Just mom's bestie.

My aunt has been prescribed anti depressants and anti anxiety meds.

In a selfish way, I'm glad because now they will know what it feels like to be depressed, anxious and embarrassed about one owns existence. They used to look down on me. Now my mom told be that my aunt is expressing the same symptoms as me ( inactivity, numbness etc). I bet her children are embarrassed to death too.

Anyway, I chose this title because I witnessed a litteral slave ascend to a social status higher than mine just like that 💀 and yes, she is pretty but not that pretty. And she doesn't have anything special to her. Except STRONG chemistry with my aunts husband. This my friend, is luck. Because we don't chose who we have chemistry with. She happened to have chemistry with an upper class dude lol

100%, everything is luck. People try to counter this idea by insisting that "no, you do A to get B outcome, consistently." But there is no such simple formula in real life. If everyone does A, maybe a few will get something resembling B, others will instead get C, D, E, etc.

Everything in this life is determined by luck and chance, you are right. It is such a cruel and unfair world where many people are disadvantaged through no fault of their own. This is why I would rather never exist in the first place, as there is no limit as to how bad things can get and how much we can suffer.

Yes it's a very unjust world.

I am a high school teacher at VERY expensive schools around the world. Most all of my students come from families that are well known in their countries for their wealth and political connections. I look at some of the 15 and 16 year old students that I have who go skiing in Switzerland or the French Alps for Winter Break or surfing in Brazil. Several of them are spending this summer in Greece and Spain or spending time at their second or third homes on some Caribbean island. I think, GD that kid is F-ing LUCKY to have been born into that family.... Why not me?

What subject do you teach? At multiple schools? Sounds like the school I attended, I had a scholarship and most of the others were very affluent.

I'm sorry, but I will not be stating in a PUBLIC and SUICIDE forum, what subject I teach and where. Nope. Seriously? What are you thinking asking a question like that?

The subject is fine.
e.g. I teach math, art etc.
don't have to mention the school and state and all that.
