would that be enough or do I also have to do more stuff? I also plan on deleting my Google accounts.
Well at least that's good to hear, you know, there are some naughty sites I visited like a year ago and I thought that would still be stored, but I deleted that history months ago so I imagine that's gone...The search history and other data are stored for 30-34 days if you're from EU..
US this will be 40-60days (depending on the privacy policy)
Thank you so much!@killedbypsychiatry If you're on a PC, the best method would be to use a browser that stores everything locally.
For example Chromium browser
link
Then it would be enough to just remove the browser and run ccleaner portable to get rid of potential files that has not been deleted by the deinstaller Link to ccleaner portable.. Create an random folder on your desktop and install this app there. To delete this app, just delete that folder)
you're welcome :)Thank you so much!
What is the name of that iso file? Is there a close alternative? If this would be 2016, I could send you an iso file, which you would have to burn to an USB drive, login there to all the social media accounts and let a tool delete all the social media/accounts for you but unfortunately this tool was so popular and misused for criminal activities, that CIA & BKA Germany took the homepage down :(
It was based on Linux operating system which also meant that after shutting the computer down, all the cache got wiped and this tool worked on (almost) any computer, unless you had an computer which was running on the russian Эльбрус Processor ( To be honest, maybe nowadays it's more popular but back in the days only true patriots bought computers with that CPU)

Unfortunately there are none alternatives that I've heard of yet. What is the name of that iso file? Is there a close alternative?
Just three things to consider....would that be enough or do I also have to do more stuff? I also plan on deleting my Google accounts.
Lots of things were possible back then when 2FA wasn't widely used.... was fun timesIf this would be 2016
Yeah, I wish I knew of an automated modern way of systematically nuking online accounts, but I don't, so just taking a slow and gradual process, and allowing for time to let closed account info get purged. 'The great cleanup' is a big drawn out pain in the ass to do, but I'm finally doing it, while I still have the ability to do so.Just three things to consider....
1) Using a "live" (in memory/RAM only) Linux environment to browse the web is good if you don't want to leave traces on your computer's hard drive, but it's only secure if you browse the web anonymously, cos if you log into any sites/accounts with your personal details - those sites will still record your activity. This is why I get annoyed when people say "oh I use a VPN so I'm safe" but then log into their Facebook, Insta, Snapchat, etc.
2) Even if you delete your online accounts/data, its not actually deleted (just hidden), as the data is usually stored for up to 30 days at least (depending on your region and what the laws there state). An example; that's why you can "close" your Facebook account, but they give you 14 days to log back in if you wish, and all your photos/posts/messages are still there.
3) you can destroy your phone, delete your Google accounts, but remember... if it's not stored locally then it's not gone until it's "gone" (point #2)
In general, if you're trying to hide stuff from your family/friends, then deleting your accounts (or even dban'ing your drives) is fine, but it won't stop any law-enforced investigation (if you feel like there'd be one)
