Venting I'm so fucking bored, I've got nothing to do and it is killing me

I hate boredom. I find it comparable to torture. I've got nothing to do besides thinking about my awful life.

Depression makes us believe we're bored but we just can't find pleasure in things.
You just gotta keep on trying until you find something.
I was "bored" for almost 3 years when I became a NEET and then I found japanese, a language I really enjoy learning!

Find some funny videos perhaps, or play time wasting games or video games.
If they aren't enough you can listen to music and journal too. But I understand sometimes it just feels like you cant do anything even if you're bored.
Finding people to talk too helps sometimes as well.

Do you have nothing to do OR just don't feel like doing anything?

I've had increasing anhedonia over the past couple years. Before I could spend all day playing video games, learning guitar, reading, exercising, watching movies and TV, studying or researching careers, but...

...Now I sleep 12 hours a day and spend most of the day staring at the wall / ceiling. Anything I try to do gets boring after a few minutes. Not sure what to do. Anyone know of a remedy- medicinal or behavioral?

Also alcohol, weed, and/or drugs help pass the time, but it's not a sustainable habit. Anything routine becomes boring. If everything in the universe was the color blue then there would be no such thing as blue.

Boredom is the absolute worst, I suffer from it the majority of the time.

I'm also bored for the major part of the day. I wouldn't be though, if I had money. I'd love to go on vacations, shopping, swimming etc. It helps to distract myself, it reduces my OCD symptoms. But I'm destined to be broke and I hate where I live. Nothing fun to do here:(

I can relate, there is things I could be doing but I don't have the motivation or the interest and I just see everything as pointless. Anhedonia really is tiring. Life is just generally boring though. Even if I had no problems I would still want to ctb because I just don't like living generally.

This must be what I am experiencing. I am incredibly bored, and have no energy to socialize. I'm exhausted and tired all the time all I can do is stay in bed and browse my phone when I'm not working
