If God exists I hope he (or she, it) forgives us and understands. That being said the reasons to doubt God's existence are greater than those to believe--why would he let us get this bad in the first place? I apologize for implementing Pascal's Wager but I want to be believe that if God is real, we are embraced with open arms.

Pascal's wager never made sense to me... I can't just choose to believe in something if it doesn't make any sense to me at all in the first place. Or am I supposed to just pretend to believe? What kind of God would be ok with a false belief, anyway?

I'm sure that the God that people in believe is forgiving in any way. The thought of God is in your head, so what you believe it is.

It's usually brought about by fear of death. That's why there's many accounts of lifetime atheists claiming they were wrong or they're "sorry" on their deathbeds. Like you said, I'm sure God would recognize false beliefs. I'm agnostic but I believe God would understand why atheists disbelieve. Honestly, if God exists, he doesn't seem like the nicest of guys. He could easily reveal himself and stop a lot of conflict.

God is historically a man of hatred, in christianity and Judaism that is. If the bible Is the actual word of God being an unbeliever is worse than suicide.

I think atheists can be just as snobby as theists, if not more. They're usually more intelligent, or at least more critical, but that doesn't mean they're any less close-minded or arrogant.

God is supposed to be omniscient and all-loving, but he can't understand why somebody might not have believed in them or decided to take their life? What's there to be forgiven? If he doesn't want people to suffer, take their own lives or not believe in him he should do something against that.

I honestly think all the theological/philosophical stuff that tries to explain these contradictions is built from the premise that god exists and that therefore there must be a way for it to all make sense.
