If you don't care about pain or suffering and want to fight climate change it makes more sense to stay alive and work on that in whichever way you can. Could be saving up money to donate, lobbying, tech research, etc. A suicide to raise awareness won't have any effect since awareness is already total.

climate change is such a broad and known topic that you literally can't bring any more attention to it.

Besides, this kind of thing is not about the suicide or the death itself, it's about the marketing and media attention. No one would've known and given a fuck about the plight of buddhists in vietnam if it wasn't because of the picture of the burning monk that went around the world thanks to the US media, same can be said about many things including last year's protests.

And then there's the word "martyr", which is used to describe someone who preferred death or unimaginable suffering instead of giving up on their beliefs (usually religious). This doesn't apply here, climate change is one of the most known and covered issues, it's literally taught in schools and most people accept it as fact whether they blame human activity or not.

I don't even know what is real! I just read some Norwegian scientist saying the arctic ice is growing. Others say its melting. Some say EV cars use the same amount of carbon as regular cars.
American politicians are scum. Esp. the Democrats. I believe they hide behind this green bullshit to rob us blind.
But I could be wrong. Not trying to get political.
Do what you think is right!

I too have refrained from getting political on a suicide forum but here are a couple of quotes:

If You Are Not a Liberal When You Are Young, You Have No Heart, and If You Are Not a Conservative When Old, You Have No Brain'
A liberal is a conservative who hasn't been mugged yet.

There's a movie I saw of a man who died on a battlefield. He could've stayed away. He was a military adviser for a king.

But he wanted to die on the battlefield, because he knew when he got back home, he'd die as an alcoholic.

He wanted to die with glory. Not in a gutter somewhere.

I understand without condoning your situation.

Your sacrifice won't solve anything no matter how horrific it is. And think about how it could negatively affect the people around you if you should do it in a very public way.

Self immolation in front of a monument always attracts attention. But this would be a horrible way to die. In Tibet the monks would ensure to drink some of the gasoline before lighting up as well to ensure they died if the fire was put out.

People don't give a fuck about climate change, that's what you have to realize. I mean, they don't even believe in it even tho the signs are everywhere now, but they will continue to ignore the problem for as long as possible. There's nothing you can do about it, nobody's gonna give up their cozy, modern lifestyle and fancy gadgets to "save the planet". We're done, enjoy the shitshow.

Sad thing is this simply isn't true . Every human alive makes the issue worse unless they live a really specific lifestyle like planting a lot of trees daily and almost no consumption

I would respectfully disagree. I think blaming the individual is exactly what they want you to do. This is because it divides and conquers all of us creating in fighting whilst the giant corporations continue polluting. Personal action is important but it won't mean a thing without system change. Its not a coincidence that BP pushed and funded the concept of an individuals carbon foot print as a distraction whilst they extracted more and more fossil fuels. And it works because our society is so focused on the mythical power of the individual we forget we need to work together to change things.

Yeah, we should be looking at the people with the money not the common person. 1) we dont have the money to make much of a change and 2) their factories cause a lot more problems then what an individual does.

Some say EV cars use the same amount of carbon as regular cars.
And all those battieries are made and desposed of how? While driving the car itself might be better, the components that go into making it, arent even close. But the ones that advocate for the car dont want to tell you the bad stuff. Dont ever mention the bad stuff, it proves 'you' wrong. Which would be why youre getting mixed info most likely.

Ok now I think you're a troll, your other thread was about being fucked to death in prison after molesting a child.

Ctb because of climatology, which is only a very recent science, would be completely useless, and you wouldn't be seen as a martyr.

I once saw a large bill getting castrated. The thing went apeshit, smashed it's way out of the steel crush it was in and started rampaging about the farm. All you saw was vets and farmers running (including myself). I was in tears with laughter. It could of been on world's scariest animal attacks. Serves them all right, cruel bastards.

aint gonna help. dont do it for climate change.

Even in the remote case ur CTB catches attention & makes it to media for a few minutes or so

Conservatives will blame liberal propaganda poisoning minds.
Liberals will blame Conservatives for not acting on climate change and causing ur CTB
(both in their bubbles will preach to their choirs)
Some will blame ur mental health.

and the show will continue exactly as is.

I'm not a troll, I've been actively and passively suicidal for years, and only now have my emotional extremes become as far apart as they are now. I've been active on and off on this forum for over a year. I think horrible things when I'm at my lows, most of which involve harming myself or other people

You are wrong, I could have worded it better. Besides, climate suicide wouldn't really have a point apart from reducing my carbon footprint, and even that wouldn't be much

Its just a simple fact that humans will 99 percent of the time be net emitters of carbon. And that's under any economic system . Whether it be corporate dominated or just primitive agriculture .

a small farmer who cuts a forest on virgin land still will create net co2 emission. Yeh not as much as gas guzzling suburbanite but they will still emit

probably the only people who have no net emissions are people who are running some specialized carbon negative homestead

Do people still believe in Climate Change?

Google "The Great Reset"

Climate change is just an excuse to completely remove your ability to be mobile by taxing private vehicle ownership TO DEATH.
So when global communism is established in 2030 during the Great Reset you will be just like those africans working on cotton plantations in the past - You will not be able to leave the plantation.
Additionaly new technologies like Neuralink will be used to get even more control over humans.

Just like Charles Schwab - the owner of the WEF (the main proposer of The Great Reset) said:

You will own nothing.
And you will be happy.

Oh the planet will reset all right, it's just humans won't be around to witness it. No matter how bad we treat it, earth will always recover when we're gone.
