If I go now, they will be alone for at most 10 days and I don't want to leave them alone for that long without food or being taken care of. Do you guys know of any way that I can make sure they'll be taken care of as quick as possible

My plan is to send a scheduled email to the local police informing them of my death (to be sent the morning after my death), leaving my front door unlocked so they can get in, and including the phone number of my friend/dog walker telling them to call her so she can pick my dog up. More detailed instructions about his long term care will be in my suicide note, but this plan ensures he'll be looked after in the immediate aftermath of my death.

Also sending a backup scheduled message to a friend who lives nearby in case the police don't see it immediately. Time is of the essence when you're the sole caregiver of an animal, especially a dog, so the plan to make sure they're not left alone for more than say half a day needs to be airtight.
