it seems like the most ass method, I've tried it so many times and just get exploding head and pain from the knot twisting into my skin

My girlfriends blouse that I cut up and tied two pieces together for length, knot I can't remember and positioning was middle of neck

Sounds like you put a lot of planning into it, I have no idea why that wouldn't work. Probably something wrong with the theory behind partial suspension, has to be.
