I saw a link on the r/MadeMeSmile subreddit of a suicide jumper being caught mid-air by a rescuer, and was astounded that someone would think it was worthy of smiling at, even less posting for others to feel the same. There were many comments about how amazing it was and how grateful the jumper must have felt after.

But then I ordered the comments by most "Controversial" and found that a lot of people seemed to support the sentiment many of us feel here - I wouldn't be surprised if some of us were among them! Hopefully this link shows the comments linked by controversial order - I found it very interesting to see similar thoughts and ideas said elsewhere for once. I guess Reddit did used to have a sub with this forum's very name - but it did fill me with some hope at least that there are others around agreeing we should have some choice. I expected every pro SS comment to be downvoted to oblivion but most of them were pretty popular if not apparently deemed controversial.

Maybe I'm just too drunk/high, or maybe it's a little telling of how people's mental health is heading in general nowadays.

Thanks for sharing, it does warm my heart a bit to see actually sympathetic comments such as that.
