... like loading them with the suffering and all the intense emotions that you have experienced until now so that those objects become a big part of you and if you ever lose them you would feel deprived of all those years passed suffering ...as if a part of you, the most important and precious one, disappeared ... as if all those years lose any value ... am i the only one? ... i have a piece of black cloth that i always wrap around my arm ...i obtained it by cutting a black trouser because it was too long for me ... idk .. it makes me feel safe when i have it around my arm ...it means a lot to me... without it i'd feel more vulnerable ...

Don't worry about the errors. I got attached to some sort of alice band for a little while (I have dense and long hair making it hard to wash my face). I liked the smell and associated the smell with certain people.

There's a good reason we find these things comforting, no matter how much we suffer, we are human. Eventually some of these things might find their way to someone who understands their value. I know it's not always good to be attached to things because it means we fear losing them. But i think certain items have enormous value, not just for us but in themselves even when we are separated from them

When i used to go to boot sales, there were always certain things that just had something about them i couldn't even say why. Even if's suffering that causes the attachment, it's still a kind of love.

Hmm. That's a good question. Not so much a physical object...but I got really attached to a sim I made on The Sims.

Yeah just don't ask...I know I'm a weirdo. But I just felt like I was him living in my perfect little world. It was a nice escape.

A car. I made many friends with it and it brought me alot of hours of joy. It was a financial disaster though. I was a loser but people knew me because of the car and not because of myself. The only thing in this life that was worthwhile.

I never had any very very significant objects, but I kept some in a box to be able to have memory. when I tried suicide I got rid of most of the belongings and only a few I have stored inside a bag that seems to be full of garbage. I left there in case I die and my family throw away (I do not like anyone seeing the things that I valued, because some were silly), but I did not take it back and it is there, untouched.

i think the way i writed is confuse, hope you understand

Yes, i have somekind of obsession with this books: The book of disquet by F. Pessoa; Gravity and Grace by Simone Weil and an antology of poetry by Saint John of the Cross; i literaly sleep with them and carry them wherever place i go and if i don't have them i feel loss, insecure and more alone, it's weird haha

Yes my SNES. It's got me through some shit. If anything happened to all the games I've amassed that would be that. I know it's not everything but in my life it is

I have a baby blanket that ironically was NOT the one I was given at birth...it's similar (same type of blanket) but MINE had a cross stitched lamb on the corner. When I was 7 or so I put it and a water bottle in a mini backpack and took it on a bus with my dad. I left it on there and someone took it thinking it was a purse, clearly. It was The End Of The World.

Finally, my sister did (literally the nicest (only nice?) thing she's ever done for me....she loaned me her's. She determined I got it at night (I prefer to sleep with mine) and she got it during the day. Eventually it just became ALL mine. I still have it. I still sleep with it and struggle to sleep without it. When I'm in psych they always take it away because it has so many holes it could be twisted into a rope or something??I dunno. It pisses me off. I get all sorts of bs reasons. It makes it next to impossible to sleep in those places (where it's difficult already).
But yes. I am 30 and I sleep with a baby blanket. :) And if I lost it I'd be crushed.
