Anyone else have family members that have ctb and now that’s only way they know how to cope?

My dad ctb when I was younger and many of my paternal family members have done the same before and after that. I have a mood disorder passed down from my dad and I live in agony.

I know of people around me who have CTB but not anyone super close, and I don't know of anyone in my family. Passed down ADHD and mood disorder to me and my sister, but I don't know of anyone who CTB.
