Any messages you regretted sending?

Last Friday, I was so happily drunk that I thought: "What about sending a text message to my ex gf and asking her how she's doing?" and I did it!!
She replied the following day and told me: "Hi. I'm doing fine. Could you please not text anymore? I'm really trying to get over you and I'm very happy with my new bf."
I felt like such a fool! I guess I had just remembered the great days I spent with her and wanted to say hi. Nothing more, nothing less.

Anyway, any messages/e-mails you regretted sending? How did you screw it up?

Removing numbers is a wise move. I think I'll do that. My drunk self is very silly and impulsive lol.

One of my exes deactivated the social medias I had access to, because I also used to message impulsively

When on my pills I did some extremely risky stuff when it comes to things of that nature. Nothing stuck and I somehow didn't suffer any consequences from this impulsive behaviour.

Yeah, we broke up almost 3 years ago lol. I got pretty surprised when she told me she hadn't got over me but I'm happy to know she has a new bf who takes care of her.
Anyway, no more messages like that while I'm drunk lol.

Last year I was typing an email at work with some generic content along the lines of "yes, we accept", pressed send and went for lunch. When I come back I realise I've sent it to the wrong recipient, an opponent who has been making unreasonable demands that I was absolutely not supposed to accept. I salvaged it by sending a quick follow-up but it was a pretty sweaty moment to say the least.

Edit: I tried to come up with some private examples but I don't have any. Turns out my private communication is better regulated than my work one

yeah its surprising she still holds a little bit of anger after all that time. my mum always used to say to me girls take much longer to get over a break up then males though.

Rather than regretting sending messages on impulse, I sort of ruminate over the messages that I could have sent but never did. I cannot help but wonder if the outcome would have been different had I said what I really wanted or at the very lest said the right things. It's painful. It's a useless endeavour though, because time only marches in one direction. My actions are bound by obsessive compulsions and analysis paralysis. It might sound stupid, but sometimes I find myself envying those who can just act without giving it too much thought -- "living" almost exclusively in your head isn't really living at all. Although, I suppose that being too impulsive is the same kind of hell that is just dressed up in another colour of wrapping paper.

I had a similar experience once. I sent the wrong prices of some products to a customer and my ex boss yelled at me in a way I'll never forget. I quit that day and decided not to be bossed around never ever again lol.

Haha the weird thing is that sometimes they can help because that person might not react negatively at your message. I started talking to a friend again after 4 years thanks to Friday's last night.
I guess it didn't work out with my ex gf, though, lol.

After 3 yrs she is still making the victim and pretends that we believe her when she says hadn't got over.. In my opinion is BS. the only thing she wants to say to you is she is fine with another guy, and it doesn't make sense to me, you are so kind to ask how is she and she turned out very rude. congrats, you dodged a bullet.

So I have Google Voice tied to a sock account and I'll adapt a number that's already written at a gas station bathroom stall so I get texts from absolute strangers where I end up trolling them. You got some really lonely desperate people out there that fall for the troll bait.

Yeah totally. I've taken it personally when I've been brushed off in the past but now I think screw those boring people! I never think about all the ones who actually reply and seem to like me lol. Yes, they are out there!

Fuck. Bro. There are a lot of them, I wrote and called and came to her house. This is Love. I made a bunch of such mistakes. But I understand that this is because I love her or loved her. So we are in the same boat. I hug.
