Venting Am I suicidal

Sometimes I just want to grab my father's shotgun and put it under my chin and pull the trigger... I don't want to die or have a real well thought about it.. It's not like I ever planed on suicide ... It's just the mere thought that I don't know why always in my head

Maybe this is just like an intrusive thought? There are lots of kinds of intrusive thoughts people get that don't mean they want to do the thing, which can be very distressing.
